Here is a fun after school snack or easy breakfast recipe that you and your kiddos will enjoy. It's filled with vitamins, nutrients, and good carbs to help you make it through your day!
What You'll Need:
- Almond Butter
- Shredded Coconut
- Whole wheat tortillas (substitue for gluten-free tortillas if you have food allergies)
- (If you're a chocolate lover, you can always add small chocolate chips)
Spread out your almond butter on a tortilla
Sprinkle coconut shreds (if you want to add chocolate chips, add during this step)
Peal your banana and lay at the edge of the tortilla. When you roll the tortilla, start from one side and tuck the tortilla around the banana and roll inwardly.
Before slicing your tortilla, stick toothpicks to hold the tortilla in place. Start from the center and work your way out, you can make the slices as big or small as you'd like.
Slice your tortilla into bit sizes and enjoy! Eat for breakfast, after school, or pack for as a healthy snack that you can have during the day!
