Pink Spring Smoothie

Spring time means there is no shortage of all things pink and delicious. We’ve created a pink layered smoothie that was inspired by colors of our Batik Ombre Freezable Lunch Bag that can keep your smoothie chilled throughout the day. Although this smoothie requires a little more effort than the average smoothie, it is well worth the it! This smoothie gives you the rush of all the different bursts of flavor in sip! You can also make all three of these smoothies at once and freeze them to drink later in the week.

Here is what you’ll need to make all three smoothies:

  • 1 bag of frozen strawberries
  • 1 bag of frozen blueberries
  • Raspberries
  • Bundle of bananas (freeze 3 bananas – slice each in half before freezing)
  • Container of Greek Yogurt
  • Ice
  • Soy Milk
  • Pineapple Juice
  • Orange Juice
  • Glasses to pour smoothies into
  • Coconut Ice Cream

First, we’re going to start with our bottom layer smoothie, which is the Mixed Berry Smoothie. In a blender add ½ cup of your frozen strawberries, ½ cup of your blueberries, a handful of raspberries, and a handful of blackberries, and add ½ cup of soy milk. Blend until all ingredients are incorporated, if you want the smoothie thicker you can add a handful of ice cubes to any of these smoothies.



Now for this recipe we used mason jars, since you can easily place the lid on top and freeze the smoothie for later. Once this first smoothie is finished, evenly split between the two glasses! While you make your other smoothies, you can place these in the freezer to keep them cold.

Quickly rinse out your blender, it doesn’t have to be anything crazy since the ingredients are similar, and at the end all these smoothies are going into one cup! For the middle layer smoothie, add 1 and half frozen bananas, 1 cup of frozen strawberries, ½ cup of raspberries, add ½ cup of Greek yogurt, and ¼ cup of orange juice! Blend until evenly mixed together. Now you’ll take your glasses out of the freezer and add this smoothie evenly into both glasses and then place back in the freezer.



Now for the top layer of the smoothie. After quickly rinsing your blender, add ½ cup of your frozen strawberries, 1 and half frozen bananas, 1 scoop of coconut ice cream, ¼ cup of Greek yogurt, and ¼ cup of pineapple juice. Blend together! For the top layer, take your glasses out and pour this on the top!

There you have two beautiful three layered pink smoothies! One you can enjoy right away and one you can freeze for later.
