• Breast cancer is one of the leading health crises for women in the United States. 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. There is currently no known cure for breast cancer, and its early diagnosis is critical to survival.
• Poverty, less education, and a lack of health insurance are associated with lower breast cancer survival rates. NBCF was founded to fill in the gaps of cancer care, ensuring every woman has the access and information she needs to get through every step of her breast cancer
  journey.
• Over the last 5 years*, NBCF has provided over 539,000 screening and navigation services, reached over 93,000 breast cancer patients with HOPE Kits, and served over 80,000 individuals with
  life-saving breast health education.
