Easy and Healthy School Lunches to Pack Your Kids

Easy and Healthy School Lunches to Pack Your Kids

In today’s read we are giving you a round up of easy and healthy lunches we have created that you can pack your kids for school. When we think about an easy lunch, we first think about something that will be easy for the parent to put together or for your child to help make. And when it comes to healthy, it’s all about a balance; especially when your child is younger and doesn’t want to just eat salads and veggies.

First on the list is our Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches with a healthy twist. We took the idea of a classic peanut butter and jelly and made it newer and better by adding real fruit to the sandwich or trying out different kinds of spreads.  We made three different kinds – the first with peanut butter, sliced bananas, and toasted coconut chips sprinkled on top. The second sandwich we used hazelnut butter as the base and sprinkled blueberries and vanilla-gluten free granola on top. On the last one we used almond butter as our spread and added fresh cut strawberries with shaved dark chocolate and a drizzle of honey on top! You can always substitute whole wheat bread or gluten-free bread for any health allergies. You can bring these delicious sandwiches on the go in our Freezable Classic Lunch Boxes.

The next lunch idea that is similar is our banana in a blanket. This lunch idea is simple and easy to make; your kiddos might enjoy putting this one together! All you need is a banana, almond butter, shredded coconut, a whole-wheat tortilla, honey (optional), and chocolate chips (optional). To get this full recipe click here to learn more!

Our next couple school lunch ideas are all nutritious and colorful bento boxes you can put together with your little ones. The first one is a Dinosaur Themed Bento Box that will have your little one imagining they’re in Jurassic Park! We also created a St. Patrick’s Themed Bento Box that will make your child feel oh so lucky that day! Both of these bento boxes perfectly fit into our Freezable Classic Lunch Boxes.

Now if you’re just looking for some snacks to fill your kid’s lunches then we’ve got you covered there as well! All you need for these snacks is a few mason jars as well as left over applesauce cups that are cleaned and dry. You can easily transform mason jars into a one-stop jar that you fill with ranch and carrots, celery and peanut butter, or cheese and crackers. The bag featured in here is our Freezable Upright Lunch Bag.

Lastly, make these Fro-Yo Bites the night before that are a great breakfast on the go for you and your little ones and also are a great treat for snack time at school! The bag featured in our Fro-Yo Bite post is our Freezable Batik Ombre Lunch Bag.
